Alles was gemakkelijk. Na mijn reservering kreeg ik een bevestigingsmail en we begonnen met de volgende communicatie via WhatsApp. Ze namen een halve dag voor de huur contact met me op. Ik stuurde via WhatsApp alle benodigde gegevens over mezelf om vooraf een overeenkomst te kunnen sluiten. Na aankomst was alles snel geregeld. Het overhandigen van de auto en het terugbrengen ging erg snel en gemakkelijk. Ik was erg tevreden.

Ik heb onlangs een auto gehuurd in Cyprus en de ervaring was uitzonderlijk. De auto was in uitstekende staat, schoon en klaar om te vertrekken. De klantenservice was zeer professioneel en vriendelijk, waardoor zowel het ophalen als het terugbrengen naadloos verliep. Cyprus verkennen met deze auto was echt een verrijking van mijn reis. Ik raad dit verhuurbedrijf ten zeerste aan!

De auto zag er niet zo goed uit toen hij werd afgeleverd. De service was erg goed. Het was jammer dat ze zo ver weg moesten komen. Er waren geen incidenten met mezelf. Ik denk dat de auto zelf een beetje rommelig was, maar de service was uitstekend. Ik heb wel wat foto's van toen hij werd afgeleverd. Het was geen probleem. Alleen de gebruikelijke schaafplekken. Er zijn meer foto's. De man was erg aardig en hij heeft hem zonder problemen opgehaald en er was geen extra schade door mijzelf. Er zijn ook andere sporen op het voertuig. Ik denk dat de auto nieuwer moet zijn.

The border between the Republic of Cyprus and the northern (Turkish) part of the island is real, and not every supplier allows you to cross it in their car. Most companies forbid the trip outright: insurance taken out on the southern side does not work in the north. A few suppliers on Cyprus do allow the crossing, but it always needs to be agreed before booking, when picking the car. At the Agios Dometios (Metehan) checkpoint near Nicosia, you buy a separate Turkish third-party policy at the kiosk — it is cheap, but you will not be allowed in without it. It happens that a renter books with a supplier who does not allow Northern Cyprus, and ends up turned back at the border. Crossing rules need confirming before you sign the contract — not the day before the trip.

Most European licences need no IDP
EU, EFTA, UK and Swiss licences are accepted on the plastic card alone — no International Driving Permit required. Licences from outside this group are accepted as long as they include Latin script. An IDP is needed only if your card is in a non-Latin alphabet, like Arabic, Chinese or Japanese.
